About Item Assist

Founder-led contents pricing research built from real insurance valuation experience.

Item Assist helps adjusters, vendors, and carrier claim teams turn contents lists into specialist-reviewed, claim-ready pricing research with documented LKQ replacement logic, RCV support, and ACV-ready item details.

Built for the Reality of Contents Claims

Contents pricing is rarely as simple as finding the first similar product online. Claimed items are often discontinued, partially identified, missing model information, or difficult to compare against current replacements.

Item Assist was built to give claim professionals a more organized, defensible way to research contents pricing. Our work is focused on item-by-item research, clear replacement reasoning, documented pricing support, and practical claim file usability.

Insurance Valuation Experience Behind the Process

Item Assist is a founder-led market pricing research service built from deep insurance valuation experience. Our approach is informed by years of hands-on work inside insurance valuation workflows, including experience across carrier, vendor, and adjuster environments.

That background includes high-volume claim reporting, direct communication with adjusters and insureds, and maintaining pricing resources for electronics, appliances, powered equipment, and specialty items commonly encountered in property damage claims.

Item Assist is intentionally structured as a focused research service rather than a generic software tool. Technology helps with sourcing, organization, and speed, but assignments are reviewed through a human, claims-focused lens before delivery.

Core Principles

Specialist-led judgment, technology-supported research, and claim-ready documentation shape every assignment.

Specialist-Led

Pricing recommendations are reviewed through a claims-focused lens, not treated as generic product search results.

Technology-Supported

Modern research tools help organize incomplete data, compare specifications, track sources, and reduce missed details.

Claim-Ready

Reports are built to support adjuster workflows with documented LKQ reasoning, pricing rationale, and RCV/ACV-ready findings.

Defensible by Design

When a direct match exists, we verify it. When it does not, we explain the market clearly and document the assumptions that matter.

How Item Assist Approaches Review Quality

Before pricing is finalized

  • We organize the item information provided
  • Verify brand, model, age, and specs where visible or supportable
  • Research current-market LKQ positions against the original item
  • Document assumptions when the file is incomplete
  • Flag when confidence is limited or specialty review may be needed

What the file is designed to support

  • Claim-ready documentation
  • Transparent replacement reasoning
  • Source-backed pricing support
  • RCV and ACV workflows
  • Supervisor, reviewer, and vendor follow-up questions

The output is designed to help claim teams review pricing with better documentation and less guesswork, while staying clear about limits, assumptions, and missing information.

Ready to Discuss a Contents Pricing Assignment?

Send us the claim details you have available. We’ll review the scope and follow up with the next steps.

What to send us

Your list does not need to be perfect. Submit what you have and we’ll clarify the scope before research begins.

  • Contents list or spreadsheet
  • Item descriptions and approximate item count
  • Photos, model numbers, or serial numbers when available
  • Purchase documentation if available
  • Claim deadline, urgency, or review timeline
  • Whether the request is standard pricing, specialty research, or intake organization

After you submit

  1. We review the request.
  2. We confirm scope, item count, and timeline.
  3. We identify missing model, serial, or photo details if needed.
  4. We provide next steps before research begins.

After submission, Item Assist reviews the file, clarifies scope if needed, and confirms whether the assignment fits standard, specialty, or custom review.

Please limit or redact sensitive claim information where practical. Item-level details, model/serial numbers, photos available upon request, and replacement context are usually enough to begin review.

Attach PDFs, spreadsheets, documents, images, or ZIPs here. Files are uploaded securely with your request, up to 5 files, 5MB each, and 15MB total.

Each submission is reviewed before work begins. Where documentation is incomplete, the finished file notes assumptions, confidence level, and any practical limitations.

If you have more files than the form allows, submit the request and we’ll coordinate the best secure option for anything additional.

All submissions handled confidentially.

Item Assist provides item research, pricing support, and replacement comparison documentation. We do not make coverage decisions, interpret policy, negotiate settlement, or determine final claim authority.
