Sample Report — Fictional Demonstration Data. This sample shows the Item Assist research format and methodology; it does not represent an actual client, insured, carrier relationship, or completed claim.
Fast Research Without Sacrificing Accuracy
Contents pricing is not simply selecting the first visually similar product online. Televisions, refrigerators, laptops, tools, appliances, and furniture can vary significantly in price based on size, capacity, materials, performance, features, product generation, model tier, and current availability.
Item-Specific Research
We evaluate the available brand, model, age evidence, specifications, photographs, descriptions, and supporting documentation instead of placing the item into a broad pricing category.
Current-Market Sources
Research is based on current replacement products and documented retail sources rather than unexplained pricing buckets, outdated reference books, or unsupported automated estimates.
Clear Replacement Reasoning
Each report explains what was researched, which replacement was selected, why it was selected, and which assumptions were required.
Better Pricing Helps Prevent Two Expensive Outcomes
An inaccurate replacement can push a claim above the appropriate current replacement or select a product that does not reasonably match the original item.
Pricing Above the Appropriate Replacement
A visually similar product may sit in a different size, performance, feature, or model tier and produce an unsupported higher price.
A Replacement That Does Not Reasonably Match
A weak comparison can lead to questions, disputes, and additional customer-service work when the documented specifications do not align.
Item Assist helps reduce both risks by documenting the original item, the selected replacement, the current price, and the reasoning behind the comparison.
What We Research
The controlled launch is focused on commonly available household contents that can be researched through item details, photographs, receipts, or other supporting information.
- Televisions and Home Electronics
- Computers and Tablets
- Major Household Appliances
- Small Kitchen Appliances
- Furniture and Household Goods
- Power Tools
- Lawn Equipment
- And Much More Other common household electronics, appliances, tools, furniture, and personal property may also fit the standard report.
Specialty items and unusual assignments may require separate review and pricing.
How It Works
A clear scope review happens before research begins, including confirmation of any additional pricing.
Submit the Available Information
Provide spreadsheets, PDFs, photographs, receipts, model numbers, serial numbers, or written descriptions.
Scope Is Reviewed
We confirm whether the items fit the standard report, identify missing information, and approve any additional pricing before research begins.
Research Is Completed
Each accepted item is researched individually, including its identity, available age evidence, important specifications, potential replacements, current pricing, and supporting sources.
Receive the Report
Receive a documented PDF report, with Excel available when appropriate, showing item-age findings when supportable, the selected replacement, price, sources, assumptions, and confidence notes.
Standard assignments are generally completed within 24–48 business hours after Item Assist receives the information required to begin. Assignments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Turnaround may vary based on file size, item complexity, missing information, specialty research, and current assignment volume.
Simple, Transparent Pricing
One clear public starting point for a standard household contents assignment.
Available to new Item Assist clients for a limited time.
Send a contents list, photographs, receipts, model numbers, or other available documentation. Item Assist researches each accepted item, identifies a supportable current replacement, documents the market price, and includes the sources and reasoning behind the result.
What counts as a standard item?
A commonly available household product that can reasonably be researched using the submitted description, photographs, receipts, brand, model number, serial number, or other available information.
Examples include televisions, computers, tablets, audio equipment, gaming systems, cameras, household appliances, standard furniture, power tools, lawn equipment, and common household goods.
What may require a quote?
Specialty or unusually complex items, rush assignments, custom report formats, extensive post-report consultation, and enhanced review services may require additional pricing.
Items requiring authentication or formal appraisal may be reviewed separately, quoted individually, declined, or referred to an appropriate specialist.
Any additional charge must be confirmed with the client before work begins.
Submit a Contents ListWhat a Standard Report May Include
- Item identification and organization
- Brand and model research when information is available
- Verified item age or best-supported estimate when supportable
- Manufacture-date, model-year, serial, or release-history evidence
- Age confidence notes and relevant product-generation context
- Relevant original specifications
- Current-market replacement research
- LKQ replacement reasoning
- Current replacement price
- Retail source links
- Research notes
- Documented assumptions
- Confidence level
- PDF report
- Excel output when appropriate
- One consolidated round of questions or corrections
Exact manufacture or purchase dates may not always be available. When age evidence is incomplete, the report identifies the result as an estimate and documents the supporting evidence and assumptions. Market prices and retailer availability may change after the report date.
Clear Service Boundaries
Item Assist provides product-identification, age-evidence, replacement, and market-pricing research. Item Assist does not select depreciation schedules, apply policy provisions, determine depreciation or final ACV, negotiate settlements, approve payments, establish claim authority, or replace adjuster judgment.
All coverage, depreciation, settlement, and claim-handling decisions remain with the client.
