Household Contents Pricing and LKQ Research

Item Assist provides accuracy-first, item-specific market-pricing research for insurance adjusters, independent adjusting firms, restoration companies, and contents vendors.

We identify the original household item, research its age and specifications, compare supportable current replacements, and document the result with current retail sources, assumptions, and confidence notes.

Accuracy-First Market-Pricing Research

Fast research should still account for the details that make one product materially different from another. Every accepted item is researched individually and human-reviewed before delivery.

Precise Item Identification

Available brand, model, age, specifications, photographs, descriptions, receipts, and supporting documents are reviewed to understand the actual item before a replacement is selected.

Age Verification

We research model history, serial information, release dates, receipts, and other available evidence to document a verified age or best-supported age estimate. When age cannot be determined reliably, the report states that the information is insufficient.

Current-Market Replacement Research

Current retail products and documented sources are compared against the original item’s relevant size, capacity, materials, performance, features, generation, model tier, and availability.

Clear Replacement Reasoning

The report documents what was researched, the selected comparison, the current price, source links, required assumptions, and confidence notes for claim-file review.

Standard Item and Specialty Scope

Standard Household Item

A commonly available household product that can reasonably be researched using the submitted description, photographs, receipts, brand, model number, serial number, or other available information.

Standard examples include televisions, computers, tablets, audio equipment, gaming systems, cameras, household appliances, standard furniture, power tools, lawn equipment, and common household goods.

Outside the Standard Launch Scope

Antiques, fine art, jewelry, collectibles, rare instruments, custom-built property, luxury fashion, and items requiring authentication or formal appraisal are not core launch services.

Specialty or unusual items may be reviewed separately, quoted individually, declined, or referred to an appropriate specialist.

Turnaround and Review Capacity

Standard assignments are generally completed within 24–48 business hours after Item Assist receives the information required to begin. Assignments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Turnaround may vary based on file size, item complexity, missing information, specialty research, and current assignment volume. Rush work is considered separately and quoted only when capacity allows.

Clear Role in the Claim Process

Item Assist provides product-identification, age-evidence, replacement, and market-pricing research. Exact manufacture or purchase dates may not always be available; when evidence is incomplete, the report identifies the result as an estimate and documents the assumptions used.

Item Assist does not select depreciation schedules, apply policy provisions, determine depreciation or final ACV, negotiate settlements, approve payments, establish claim authority, or replace adjuster judgment.

All coverage, depreciation, settlement, and claim-handling decisions remain with the client.
